  • You may check out up to 3 digital audiobooks per library card.
  • Titles are automatically deleted at the end of the borrowing period, so there are never any late fees for digital materials!
  • eAudiobooks cannot be checked out from other libraries, and cannot be checked out by anyone who does not have a Waukegan Library card in good standing.
  • RBDigital adds new titles throughout the year, so keep checking back!
  • Most RBDigital audiobooks can be listened to by multiple people at the same time, so you don't have to wait!  However, some titles can only be checked out by one person at a time, but you can place a hold on these titles if they're unavailable.
  • eAudiobooks can be renewed once per title.

Not a Waukegan card holder?

You need an active Waukegan Public Library card to download digital materials. If you live in Waukegan and don’t have a library card, get one! If you live outside Waukegan, try contacting your home library to learn about their eBook collection.

Use OneClick Digital

1. Create RBDigital account.

Visit the library's RBDigital collection at https://waukeganil.rbdigital.com   Tap the icon at the top of the screen and then tap Register Now. Fill out the required information to create an RBDigital account.

2. Download RBDigital app.

Open the app store and download the RBDigital app. When the app opens, log in with the account information you just created.

3. Browse for a title

Once you're logged in, you can search for a title to download! To browse the collection, tap the Menu button in the top left corner and tap Audiobooks to bring up the full collection.

To filter your search results, tap View All in the top right corner, then tap Filter. You can filter your results by genre, audience level, or availability.

To search for a specific book, tap the magnifying glass in the top right corner, then tap Audiobooks. You can search by keyword, author, title, or narrator.

4. Select a title

Once you find a title, tap the cover and then tap Checkout. Once the book has been checked out, you can continue browsing, or you can tap Play to begin listening immediately.

5. View checked out titles

To view or manage your currently checked out titles at any time, open the Menu and tap Checked Out.

6. Return a title early

To return a title early, go to your Checked Out titles and tap the cover of the one you want to return. Tap Return below the cover image.

7. Renew a title.

Go to your checked out titles and tap the title you want to renew. Tap the Renew button.

NOTE: Renewing an item only extends the due date from the day the item was renewed.  Therefore, it's best to renew an item close to the due date in order to get the most additional time.

8. Place a hold

Most RBDigital titles can be checked out at the same time by multiple people. However, there are some titles that can only be checked out by one person at a time. In these cases, you will see a yellow Hold button. Tap Hold to add yourself to the waiting list.

The book will automatically be checked out to your account once it becomes available, and you will receive an email notification. Go to your Checked Out titles and tap the cover to begin listening.
